News

People who attended the Sydney Hiroshi Doi Workshop in September may have met Jennifer Dowling, a GRNA member and dedicated Gendai Reiki Master based in Victoria. Jennifer was recently interviewed by Jim Frew for Reiki Australia’s member journal “The Journey” http://www.reikiaustralia.com.au/. Jennifer and Reiki Australia have kindly given permission for us to present this interview on our website ( Interview) and e-newsletter. In the interview Jennifer outlines her history with Reiki, and in particular, with Gendai Reikiho; specifically, she talks about Gendai Reikiho’s emphasis on the “Spiritual side of the practice”, in contrast to Western forms of Reiki.

Jennifer also discusses the September workshop in some detail, which for me was a lovely reminder of the weekend. Jennifer’s comment that “…as one deepens one’s practice, so it appears to become simpler,” resonated for me, as I remember feeling exactly this during the workshop. Hearing Doi Sensei’s words, and being with his energy, brought me to an understanding of the simplicity and perfection of Reiki. I certainly felt that we were indeed privileged to be in touch with the “essence” of Reiki I hope the workshop was enriching for others too, and would love to hear your experiences during and subsequent to the workshop.

Many thanks to Jennifer and Reiki Australia for their kind assistance!

I look forward to hearing from you by email or telephone.

 Warm Regards,
