Board Member

Patrice Laslett is a Gendai Reiki Practitioner, organisational psychologist, business manager and mother in Brisbane. Patrice has been integrating Reiki through all aspects of her life for more than ten years and particularly appreciates the stillness that Gendai Reiki practices bring. She is now studying Shinpiden (level 3) with Karen Workman and continues to appreciate the spiritual growth that Reiki enhances.

Jenny Lyons is a Gendai Reiki Master and shiatsu practitioner currently living in Edinburgh, Scotland. Jenny has been a fan of Reiki for over 20 years since her first attunement with Beth Gray in Melbourne and is grateful to have had the opportunity to study with Doi sensei in Japan.

Michelle McIntrye

Michelle McIntyre is a Gendai Reiki practitioner, Massage Therapist and Holistic Pulsing practitioner currently living in the Byron Bay hinterland Northern NSW, Australia, with her partner and two year old son.
Having been interested in and receiving Reiki treatments for many years Michelle undertook her level 1 and 2 initiations in 2001/2002, finding both initiations to be profound and life altering experiences.
More recently Michelle became aware of the teachings of Hiroshi Doi Sensei, and the Gendai Reiki system, after which Reiki, and the Gendai Reiki Ryoho, have become an integral part of her life and spiritual growth.
Michelle is deeply grateful to have Reiki in her life, and to be a founding member of the Gendai Reiki Network Australia.

Yuki Tamura

Yuki Tamura is a Gendai Reiki Master, Kinesiologist (Three In One Concepts), and Aromatherapist practicing in Artarmon (North of Sydney).

Inspired by Hiroshi Doi’s first book Modern Reiki Method, she finished the master course of Gendai Reiki Ho in 2005, attuned by Hiroshi Doi directly in 2006.

Yuki practices and teaches Gendai Reiki Ho and Kinesiolosy in Sydney and twice a year travels to Japan to teach as well as attend Gendai Reiki seminars with Hiroshi Doi. Yuki says

“In my classes, as I put emphasis on that daily use, I hold Koryukai (with non practitioners) or Jissenkai( practice day only for practitioners), every month.

The simplicity of Gendai Reiki Ho which is based on Universal Philosophy has become a guideline of my everyday living.”

Karen Workman

Karen Workman

Board Member

Karen Workman practices as a Gendai Reiki master, psychologist and Hakomi therapist in Sydney and Brisbane.

Her love for Reiki takes to her Japan to study with Hiroshi Doi several times each year. Karen work uses Reiki with and as subtle energy psychotherapy.

She is the current Public Officer of GRNA.
